A.J. Robinson Mobile Unit


(Named after local Lion active at age 101.)  Supports a mobile screening unit for use through out the area including schools and church groups.  

 

Books Aloud


 Provide free books on tapes made to order from the studios in San Jose to blind and those with other disabilities. 

 

 

Campbell Toys for Tots at Christmas


Toys for Tots distributes toys for needy children at Christmas who would otherwise not have any presents. The Lions support through gifts of money to purchase toys and toys themselves.

 

City of Hope Medical Center, Los Angeles

 

Providing multi-specialty hospital care and research facilities.

 

Campbell Optometric, Sight screening, corrective lenses for needy children


Free eye exams and glasses to school children, and adults in the county.  Recycled 3000+ pairs of glasses from the community to under-developed countries.  Able to provide eye surgery and treatment to west San Jose and Campbell residents.

 

 

Canine Companions for Independence  

 

Located in Santa Rosa , this group trains dogs and disabled client in the use of the animals.

 

 

Lions Blind Center


At 101 North Bascom Ave, in San Jose, services the social, computer, vocational, mobility training and counseling needs of the vision impaired.  This facility is owned by Lions & available for social functions rentals.

Lions Eye & Ear Foundation

 

EAR OF THE LION assists the needy with hearing loss through surgery or hearing aids.

LIONS’EYE FOUNDATION in San Francisco provides free medical services to individuals referred by the Club

 

Lions Eye Foundation of Northern CA, San Francisco

 

LIONS’EYE FOUNDATION in San Francisco provides free medical services to individuals referred by the Club.  Providing free eye surgery and care for low income persons.

 

Lions International Foundations (Disaster Relief)

 

Providing some of the most rapid emergency relief and charitable grants throughout the world.

 

Student Speakers' Foundation of California-Nevada

 

Hold Student Speakers Contests for high school students with scholarship for winner.  An annual event with scholarships of more than $20,000 possible

Lions Flag Day


Lions members, often veterans,  go to local schools to present a history of our flag and what it means to them.

 

Lions White Cane Day


A solicitation of funds from the local community to support Lions' projects which aid the blind.

 

Lions Cell Phones


Old cell phones are collected to be redistributed to people for use in emergence situations.  Cell phones do not have to be activated to reach 911 emergency numbers.

 

Pancake Breakfast, Spring & Fall


Another fund raiser for monies to support the many local charities.  It is held each spring and fall at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, 2350 Winchester Blvd., Campbell, and is one of our principle fund raisers.  Tickets may be purchased from any West San Jose - Campbell Lion or at the door.
